Eunice Carter’s life and career was celebrated in Invisible No More: The Eunice Carter Story with a special focus on her work in the prosecution of Lucky Luciano as an assistant district attorney. While her white, male counterparts worked on more prestigious practice areas, Carter’s work in the Women’s Court with women charged with prostitution was instrumental to bringing Luciano to justice. Luciano’s conviction was consider the most successful court action against organized crime in American history, a court action that would not have been possible without Eunice Carter.
