Justice of the New York Supreme Court of Judicature, 1703-1718
Robert Milward arrived in the Province of New York with Governor Cornbury in May 1702. In the document declaring him a freeman of the City, he is described as an attorney-at-law. He was appointed Second Judge of the Supreme Court of Judicature on April 5, 1703. He was suspended from the Supreme Court in November 1713, but was reinstated later that year and served until October 1718.
