Daniel Cady served in 1849. Born in Canaan, Columbia County, N.Y., Apr. 29, 1773. Father of Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815-1902). Admitted to practice 1796. Member, state assembly, 1808-1813; district attorney, fifth district, 1813; Representative in Congress (Federalist), 14th District, 1815-1817; justice of the supreme court, 1847-1855; presidential elector on Republican ticket, 1856. Died in Johnstown, Fulton County, N.Y., on Oct. 31, 1859. Interred at Johnstown Cemetery.
