Cornelius Lansing Allen

Cornelius Lansing Allen served in 1859. Born in Lansingburg, Rensselaer County, Jul. 17, 1800. Elected supreme court justice, fourth judicial district, 1851, served until 1859. District attorney, Washington County, 1836. Father, David Allen (d. 1820), was surrogate of Rensselaer County and a member of the state assembly and senate. Died Sep. 30, 1878. Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Salem, N.Y.
