Hon. Ellen N. Biben sits as a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court and has served as the Administrative Judge of New York County Supreme Court, Criminal Term since 2017. In 2015, she was appointed to the Court of Claims by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Prior to her judicial appointment, she served as the Executive Director of the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics and before that as New York State Inspector General. She held the position of Special Deputy Attorney General for Public Integrity from 2007 to 2010, supervising numerous public fraud and corruption investigations. Previously, she served for more than 10 years as an assistant district attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office under Robert Morgenthau, where she was Deputy Chief of the Rackets Bureau.

In addition to her judicial duties, Judge Biben teaches Government Ethics as an Adjunct Professor at New York University School of Law.

Alexander C. Drylewski is a Partner in Complex Litigation and Trials at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He previously served as a Law Clerk to Hon. Edward R. Korman at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Mr. Drylewski earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Colgate University.
