Theron Rudd Strong served in 1858. Born in Salisbury, Conn., Nov. 7, 1802. District attorney, Wayne County, 1835-1839. Representative to Congress, 1839-1841. Member, state legislature, 1842. State supreme court justice, 1852-1860. Died in New York City, May 14, 1873. Author, Landmarks of Lawyer’s Lifetime, Joseph H. Choate, New York (1914). Internment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, N.Y.; see Obituary, The New York Times, May 15, 1873. See 1 McAdam, History of the Bench and Bar of New York, New York History Co. (1897), p. 488.
