Moses Taggart

1799-1883

Moses Taggart served in 1853. Born in Colram, Mass., Aug. 21, 1799. Elected district attorney, Genesee County, 1845; Member constitutional convention, 1846. State supreme court, 1852. Elected county judge, Genesee County, 1859. Batavia, N.Y.; postmaster, 1869-1873. Died in Batavia, Feb. 17, 1883. The oldest practicing attorney in Western New York.
