The program is part of an on-going series sponsored by the Supreme Court Historical Society and the Historical Society of the New York Courts. The Chief Justice discussed the life and career of Hon. Charles Evans Hughes, who served as Chief Justice of the United States from 1930 to 1941. A conversation between Chief Justice Roberts and Hon. Robert A. Katzmann, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals, 2d Circuit, followed initial remarks. Hon. Jonathan Lippman, Chief Judge of the State of New York, introduced the evening’s program.
