2025 Law Day Art Contest

2024 First Prize, “Liberty Sings” by Mitchell Homick

Each year on May 1st, the United States observes Law Day in celebration of our legal system and the freedoms we enjoy. This year, the Office for Justice Initiatives and the Historical Society of New York Courts invite high school students in New York State to participate in an art contest inspired by this year’s American Bar Association’s Law Day theme The Constitution’s Promise: Out of Many, One

All submissions must be received by February 25, 2025. The winner will be announced on May 1, 2025. Review the contest rules for more information and complete the registration form to enter the contest. Registration forms and artwork may be submitted electronically or by regular mail.

2024 Second Prize, “Democracy Bring Us Together” by Shangjing Chen
2024 Third Prize, “The Source of Our Voices” by Milo Brustein

The winners will have their artwork featured on the websites of the Historical Society of the New York Courts and the Office for Justice Initiatives. All contestants will receive a pocket United States Constitution and a certificate of participation.
