This event was the third in the Young Lawyers Series: Cocktails & Commentary. Leigh Llewelyn, co-chair of our Young Lawyers Committee, was the MC for the program. Paul Finkelman and Alex Storozynski gave two separate talks about Brigadier General of the Continental Army and Polish freedom fighter, Tadeusz Kosciuszko, and his efforts to end slavery. Magdalena Baczewska, Lecturer and Director of the Music Performance Program at Columbia University, performed a piano concert of original compositions by Kosciuszko. The evening ended with a toast of “The Kosciuszko Bridge,” the newest Williamsburg cocktail that joins spirits of two nations: Polish Bison Grass Vodka and American gin.
